Contained in the conference report of 2010 Appropriations bill, just passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, is $400 million for Northern Virginia infrastructure projects, according to LocalKick.com. According to the news outlet, included in bill is money for the following local projects:
- Dulles Rail Metrorail Extension ($85 million)
- Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Capital Maintenance Project ($150 million)
- Potomac Yard High Capacity Transit ($1 million)
- I-95/Fairfax County Parkway Interchange ($974,000)
- Enhanced Transit Service, Route 7 Corridor ($350,000)
- Richmond Express (REX) Transit Service Centers ($500,000)
- Four Mile Run Pedestrian Bridge ($250,000)
I guess Santa came early to Northern Virginia!
