Five of Virginia's federal lawmakers are calling for a sound barrier to shield residents from the noise of the Metro line now under construction from Tysons Corner to Dulles Airport according to the Associated Press. The bi-partisan support of the sound wall include both Virginia Senators, Jim Webb and Mark Warner, along with Representatives Frank Wolf, Jim Moran, and Gerry Connelly.
Some state funding for the barriers have been secured but budget cuts may threaten the funds.
